For those of you not familiar with Dallas' trip journals, you are in for a treat! Dallas likes to capture detailed and entertaining anecdotes about his trips to share with family and friends. He usually emails his daily accounts during the trip, but we stayed much too busy during the cruise to finish the updates. This trip journal is actually a combination of both our efforts. The initial entries are written by Dallas and are much more colorful than the later entries, which were written by me. However, in an effort to get things posted before the baby arrives, I used Dallas' notes to complete the journal. I mentioned that Dallas is very detailed, so the entire journal is pretty long. Each day of the trip will be posted in a separate entry with the posting date corresponding to the actual day of the trip. That means these posts will show up in the March archives, so you'll definitely want to check out the archives over the next few weeks to read about our vacation.
In a nutshell, the cruise was perfect! The weather was almost perfect, the ship was brand new, the staff and crew were wonderful, the activities and ports of call were fun, and the experience was fantastic. We enjoyed the time away together and managed to spend nearly the entire trip not worrying about preparing for the new baby. We didn't even discuss baby names! We just enjoyed being together and look forward to the adventure ahead of us.
