Have you missed me? I have been soooo busy that I just haven’t had time to post. You may not remember being 10 months old, but trust me, it is a really busy time.
I finally figured it out! Daddy kept telling me to use both my knees to crawl. I don’t know how they did it back when Daddy learned to crawl, but I can tell you that today you don’t use both knees. You use one knee (the left) and one foot (the right). Once I figured that out, life got so much better. I don’t have to worry about Mommy moving a few inches away because I can follow her! I don’t have to just sit and listen if Mommy picks the wrong book to read. I can crawl to the bookshelf and pull all the books down. And when I need help standing up, I can crawl over to Daddy’s leg and pull myself up. Daddy is really, really good for climbing on.
Mommy and Mrs. Fran both say I’m not as cranky since I learned to crawl. I don’t know what cranky means, but I don’t have to whine to get my way anymore. And there is so much to explore. I really love the cords Mommy and Daddy have plugged into the wall. I don’t know why Mommy keeps telling me no touch for the electric cords. Where’s the fun in that? I also can open my dresser drawer, but Daddy says I can’t do that because I’ll pinch my fingers. He was right. I did pinch my fingers. And it hurt. I’m apparently not supposed to eat Nemo’s food. I don’t understand why. He eats my food. There are a lot of rules for this crawling stuff. I’m doing my best to ignore every last one of the rules!
I’ve also gotten really good with buttons. I showed Mommy how to turn on the night light built into the diaper wipes warmer. She didn’t even know there was a night light. I always put down the garage door when we come in from Nemo’s walks. I can make all the buttons on my toys work. I bet I could work the computer if Daddy would just let me near it. How hard can it be to push those little buttons?
You are going to have to enjoy the videos of me crawling because Mommy has been so busy chasing me that she hasn’t taken any pictures. I’ll talk to her about that.
Remember: Left knee, right foot, left knee, right foot. Moving is fun!
