Then There Were Two

Austin popped out his second tooth in time to impress his doctor on Friday. Two cute little teethies.

We went in to the doctor for his 6 month well visit on Friday.  She found tooth number 2 during her exam.  We checked for the tooth before bed on Thursday, so it must have popped out during the night.

Austin weighed in at 16 lb10 1/2 oz.  He has slowed down on the growth scale to about the 27th percentile, but the doctor said he is still tracking well along his growth curve.  He is 26" long.  Even though he isn't rolling over, he has good trunk support.  He is sitting up unassisted for a few seconds before falling over, and he holds a three point stance pretty well.  She did give us instructions to give him more tummy time to encourage rolling.

Austin was a big boy for his shots, but this round was harder on him (and on Daddy who has to hold him during the shots) than previous shots.  He is more aware and was more upset by the shots this time.  He calmed down after nursing for a bit.  He also woke up with a low fever on Saturday.  A little Tylenol took care of the problems and made him feel better.  By Sunday, he was back to his normal happy self - especially after a 2 1/2 hour nap Sunday morning.
