YaYa's Weekend Adventure

YaYa was in town this weekend. We had a great time getting ready for “NoneYet”, her name for our unnamed child. YaYa’s suitcase came loaded with wonderful little clothes for baby. We got a bookcase for the nursery and spent a lot of time modeling every diaper bag at Buy Buy Baby. I think Debbie almost got us kicked out of Buy Buy Baby because she kept starting every single little noise-making toy we passed! Let me tell you, that is a lot of nursery rhymes and barnyard sounds at once! We argued over the perfect toy for Rowdy. I wanted the soft little bear blanket thing (like Carly’s bunnies) that had the satin on the underside. She wanted the super duper soft little lion and monkey blanket toys that matched the nursery…but there was no satin. We finally “compromised.” She got the lion and monkey for baby and the satin lined bears for mom!  We looked at onesies and gowns and soft things until my feet were too swollen to keep going.

We got home to find that Nemo and Stella had established a truce.  They agreed to ignore each other.  Stella was much more successful at this than Nemo, who stayed on edge when Stella got too close.

As usual, Deb was able to adjust my back and neck better than any other doctor who has ever treated me.  I am so thankful to be free of back pain for the time being.  She also gave Dallas some tips on how to help keep the pain away.  He was a good student.  I've been able to sleep for two nights without being awakened by back pain.  Too bad she didn't have such a great fix for all the bathroom breaks I still have to make during the night!

Deb left Sunday morning.  After a very full Saturday and an incomplete night of sleep, I took a long nap Sunday afternoon.  Then, I finally broke down and made another pair of pants.  I didn't want to do it with delivery day so close, but I officially grew out of my last pair of work pants last week.  Since I will probably need to wear them 3-4 days a week for the next few weeks, I know I'll be glad I made them.

We have another doctor's appointment this week.  I'll post a status update soon.
