Happy Halloween

Austin had a great time trick-or-treating with Carly and Reed.

This was all new, but he was his usual exuberant self!

I'd been telling Austin on the ride to Jackson that we would put on his costume.  Since he didn't know what a costume was, he didn't get too excited until...we put on his costume.  "I'm Woody!!!" he exclaimed when he saw himself in the mirror.  He was especially excited to put his arm in the gun holster.  He thought he had grown a wing.  "I can fly with my wing," he told us.

He really liked his cowboy hat, and had a unique way of wearing it.

Finally, we got to the first house.  He went up to the door with Carly, and they gave him a lollipop!  NOTHING that exciting had happened to him all month!  Daddy opened his lollipop.  Austin was pretty much done with trick-or-treating.  He had one lollipop!  How much better could it possibly get?  Beside himself with excitement, he ran full speed in circles in the cul-de-sac yelling "I GOT CANDY!  I GOT CANDY!"

After calming him down, we finally got him to the next house.  MORE??  There's more candy??  He even got to pick out which candy he wanted.  Pity he picked the colorful stuff over the chocolate.

What a fun night he had!
