Crib Notes - Week 31
I gotta admit. This has been a really tough week. One of the toughest I've had in awhile. You know how I told you that Mommy and Mrs. Fran were all about this eating on a spoon idea? And I admitted that I kinda agreed with the idea when Mommy gave me sweet potatoes. Well, apparently, there is too much of a good thing. All that eating really messed with my tummy. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't make a stinky diaper. And I tried really, really hard.
Mommy, Daddy, and Mrs. Fran tried everything to help me. They gave me water, juice, Karo syrup. Yuck, yuck, and yuck. I even caught Mommy getting red in the face when she was trying to help me strain one night. The one good thing that came out of this was Mommy gave my prunes. Yummmm. Prunes rank right up there with sweet potatoes in my book. But beware, all prunes are not created equal. Apparently, the store ran out of baby prunes, so Mommy made some homemade prunes for me. I really hope Whole Foods stocks more prunes soon!
Everyone's efforts finally paid off on Thursday morning. I overheard Daddy saying he was going to take me to the emergency room. That thought scared the poop right out of me! Last time Daddy took me to the emergency room, they shoved stuff up my nose. I didn't want that to happen again... And on Friday, Mrs. Fran was so proud of me for having a massive blowout!
On the other hand, this was a pretty good week because Mrs. Fran closed the daycare for two days. I got to spend one full day with Daddy and one entire day with Mommy. I wish we could do that every week.
